New Look for Unsightly Travertine Floor

Unsightly Travertine

The travertine floor in this Phoenix home was looking unsightly. In some places, the grout was missing and fillers had popped out, leaving holes behind. The homeowner contacted us to see whether we could restore the factory finish. We explained that our professional travertine restoration services make a dramatic difference and that we consistently achieve fantastic results.

Our Travertine Repair and Restoration Process

First, we masked and protected the carpet edges, baseboards, and other surfaces surrounding our work area. We floated the areas where fillers had come loose, that is, we refilled the holes with color-matched epoxy, and we regrouted those areas where sections of the grout that were missing. Our honing process erased scratches and other surface damage. Per the homeowner’s request, we gave the travertine a nice satin finish with just a touch of polish for enhanced clarity. To inhibit staining, we finished up with a coat of impregnating sealer.

When the homeowners saw their travertine floors, they were very happy with our work.
