Travertine Floor Looked Worn
Scottsdale homeowners contacted us because their travertine floor had lost its reflection. Despite regular sweeping and mopping, it had a dirty appearance. We provided a free consultation and estimate, explaining our natural restoration process that restores the factory finish without the use of strippers and coatings.
Travertine Honed and Polished to Like New Condition
Although our stone restoration process does not produce dust and is mostly contained, we always use an abundance of caution to protect the cabinets, baseboards, appliances, and walls surrounding our work area by covering these surfaces before starting our work.
First, we honed the floor, using high grit diamond pads mounted on a floor machine. In corners and hard-to-reach areas, we used a hand tool. The honing process erased the fine scratches and other surface damage that had been giving the floor a dirty appearance. Then, we used a series of progressively finer grit diamond pads to achieve a beautiful, reflective polished finish. We finished up with an impregnating sealer application to inhibit staining.
