Outdated Backsplash and Floors
Homeowners in Peoria, Arizona contacted us for tile installation services. They felt like their granite backsplash and carpeted open living space looked outdated, so they visted a local floor and surface retailer and chose new coverings. After that, all they needed was a reputable tile installer. Although Beyond Stone Solutions is best known for tile and stone cleaning, repair, and restoration, we do have an experienced, skilled team of installation technicians.
Tile and Carpet Removal and Substrate Preparation
We removed the backsplash tiles, as well as residue from adhesives, and repaired any uneven or sunken areas to create a flat surface suitable for tile installation. When we removed the carpeting and carpet padding, we made sure to pull up all the tack strips and thoroughly inspect the subfloor. Once we were sure everything was tile-ready, we proceeded to install the tile.
Tile Installation
We installed 4″ x 10″ ceramic subway tiles on the backsplash. To hide the raw edges of the tile, protect against chips or other damage to the edges, and provide a nice, clean, finished look, we installed an edge profile by Schluter called Jolly. For the living room insert where the carpeting used to be, as well as the hallway floor tiles, we installed 6″ x 36″ porcelain wood-look plank tiles.
